I felt moved and bolstered by the announcement that the New York Philharmonic will be performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Schoenberg’s “Survivor from Warsaw”, including a narrator giving a spoken account of the Holocaust. I am finding that it is so important, as artists and musicians, to inspire and embolden our audiences with a positive, sensitive message. We are thirsty for justice and truth.
