Today is Loving day, an unofficial holiday in honor of the anniversary of the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court decision, Loving vs. Virginia, which struck down all remaining anti-miscegenation (interracial marriage) laws. At the time, 16 U.S. States still banned interracial marriage.
