American Ethos & Schubert
American Ethos introduces the audience to composers of a variety of backgrounds reminding us of the unique spirit of America and the different cultures that make up our nation. Ms. Enger’s program shines a light on diverse voices, who are often overlooked, and two composers who called Chicago their home. Program includes selections from Aaron Copland, Margaret Bonds, Florence Price, Ned Rorem and William Grant Still. The programs closes with the first movement of Franz Schubert’s Piano Sonata in B-Flat, rounding out an afternoon of beautiful and enriching music.
